At Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, our work has always been rooted in one simple belief: when girls are supported, communities grow stronger.

For generations, our campus has been a place where girls feel safe, seen, and encouraged to discover who they are and who they can become. As we look ahead, we want to take a moment to reintroduce who we are, why we do this work, and how deeply committed we remain to the girls and families of Carpinteria.

Who We Are

Girls Inc. of Carpinteria is part of the national Girls Inc. network, an organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. While we are connected to a national movement, our work is deeply local—shaped by the needs, voices, and strengths of our own community.

Every program we offer is designed to meet girls where they are, provide them with meaningful opportunities, and support them through each stage of their growth. From early childhood through young adulthood, we create spaces where girls can learn, lead, and thrive.

Rooted in Community

Our campus is more than a building—it is a hub of connection. Each day, girls arrive ready to explore new ideas, build confidence, and form relationships that last far beyond the school day. Families rely on our programs not only for enrichment, but for stability, mentorship, and support.

We work closely with local schools, community partners, volunteers, and families to ensure our programs reflect the realities of life in Carpinteria. Whether through after-school enrichment, leadership development, mentoring, sports, or access to essential resources, our goal is always the same: to remove barriers and open doors.

Programs That Grow With Girls

At Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, our programs are intentionally designed to grow alongside the girls we serve.

• After-School Enrichment provides a safe, nurturing environment where girls explore academics, creativity, leadership, and wellness.
• STEM, Literacy, and STRONG programming encourage curiosity, confidence, and healthy habits.
• Eureka! and Project Accelerate support teens and young women as they prepare for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.
• Community Strength & Support initiatives, including our Community Food Pantry, help ensure families have access to resources that allow girls to focus on learning, growth, and opportunity.

Each program is guided by research-based practices and led by caring staff and mentors who believe in the potential of every girl.

As we move forward, we are reaffirming our commitment to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to participation. Our sliding-scale model and community-supported approach allow us to keep programs accessible to all families, regardless of income or circumstance.
