Teen Program
The Teen Program is designed to provide girls with the tools they need to succeed in middle school and beyond. The program lessons and workshops focus on topics such as self-esteem, communication, college readiness, career exploration, and problem-solving.
Mentoring sessions provide girls with small group support and guidance. Being on the Carpinteria Middle School campus provides girls with an opportunity to explore their environment and get to know their peers.
The program fits into Girls Inc. of Carpinteria’s continuum of programs that offers school-year support groups to continue building skills and provide girls with a safe space to share their experiences and ask questions.
Leaders In Training (LIT) Program
Our Leaders in Training (LIT) Program provides high school students with a meaningful opportunity to give back while gaining valuable leadership and workforce experience. As volunteers during our Summer Day Camp series, LIT participants support a variety of activities, including snack preparation, sports coaching, campus projects, and assisting staff with daily programming.
Through their service, teens develop important career and job-readiness skills, earn community service hours toward high school graduation requirements, and receive professional references to support future educational and employment opportunities. Most importantly, LITs serve as positive role models for younger participants, helping create a fun, supportive, and inspiring camp environment.
The LIT Program is a rewarding way for teens to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and make a lasting impact in their community.
